Join us for “A Healthy Belly Event,” a special Itsabelly event that will educate expectant moms on the importance of nutrition during pregnancy and how they can maintain optimum health for both themselves and their babies. Based on Largeman-Roth’s new MUST-have nutrition guide,Feed the Belly: The Pregnant Mom’s Healthy Eating Guide, the event will include an interactive mini-class on the book, an author Q&A session, and other nutrition and wellness topics of interest to expectant moms through Itsabelly’s local fitness and health partners.
Every soon-to-be mom wants to make sure she’s doing everything right for her baby, and Feed the Belly offers comforting answers to the quandaries over what’s safe—and healthy—to eat.
Frances Largeman-Roth, RD will discuss:
What's safe to eat during pregnancy?
Recipes created especially for you and your belly
How much weight gain is appropiate
Tips for choosing healthy fast food
The session will also include a Q&A with the author and an interactive discussion.

About the Speaker:
Frances Largeman-Roth, RD, has been the Senior Food & Nutrition Editor at Health magazine for five years. Her new book, Feed the Belly: The Pregnant Mom’s Healthy Eating Guide, was published by Sourcebooks this past May. She has had the opportunity to work with top chefs and food personalities, putting a healthier spin on recipes from Jamie Oliver, Bobby Flay, Emily Luchetti, Gale Gand, Rick Bayless, and Steven Raichlen, among others. She’s a frequent guest on national morning shows, including the Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, Fox & Friends, and CNN. Frances has also used her food background to judge two Food Network Challenges. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter, and their flat-coated retriever, Millie.
